While in possession, the attacking team must tag three distinct pieces of furniture with the duck in hand before a shot may be attempted. The same furniture item may not be tagged twice in one possession, and the same player may not tag two furniture items in a row — the duck must be passed to a teammate before the next tag. Tags reset whenever possession changes.
Possession changes when the defense intercepts or strips the duck, when a shot misses and the defense recovers it, or when the shot clock expires. On any turnover the tag count resets to zero.
Possession changes when the defense intercepts or strips the duck, when a defender lands a clean two-hand touch on the duck carrier, or when a shot misses and the defense recovers it. On any turnover the tag count resets to zero.
Each possession, the shooting team has 15 seconds from the first tag to attempt a duck shot. If the clock expires, possession changes.
There is no possession timer. Instead, a defender can force a turnover at any time by landing a clean two-hand touch on the duck carrier — both hands making contact at once. When that happens, possession changes immediately and the tag count resets to zero.
